I came across an article all about 3D printed fashion design earlier on design site 'Dezeen' and thought I had to share it with you guys!

Technology is increasingly becoming a major part of all of our everyday lives, and it's now being introduced into the fashion world in amazing ways. 3D printing is always something that has fascinated and amazed me, it just seems so crazy that a 3-Dimensional object can emerge from a printer!

Anyway... Extremely intricate, Haute Couture, 3D printed fashion garments have begun to appear on runways all across the world. They are all very unusual and unique designs, and what makes the 3D printing work so well in these instances is that they can ensure these garments fit absolutely perfectly every time. The body scanning and 3D modelling techniques which have been developed allow designers to get the most precise measurements of their models, enabling them to create a bespoke garment with the perfect fit. This article also tells of how this new technique is becoming much more accessible; transitioning from these crazy, elaborate runway designs into more everyday clothing...

This really got me thinking about our lovely Pink Pantaloons and how we create a classic and tailored product, which is beautifully fitted, completely bespoke and super comfy. Surprisingly, there are quite a few similarities between these Haute Couture garments and our Pink Pantaloons... but there are definitely no body scanners around here and our manufacturing techniques are as far away as you could possibly get from a 3D printer! We use good old British craftsmanship here at our Cotes Mill home in Leicestershire, we hand make each pair of pantaloons with love and care, but who knows... maybe one day we could try 3D printing a pair of our silky shorts!

Pink Panta-Pooch

Hello, my name is Zoë and this is my first post on the Pink Pantaloon blog!

London Fashion Week is over for another year and after seeing lots of beautiful collections it's really got us thinking that we would love to showcase our Pink Pantaloons next year, how cool would that be!? Amongst all of the designs that have graced the catwalk this year, from the chic to the utterly bizarre (check out this roundup of outrageous outfits from LFW), we didn't spot any outstanding underwear. I think our luxurious silky shorts could definitely make a statement on the catwalk, they're unique, stylish, exclusive and pink!

One thing that did catch my eye at this years London Fashion Week was Sergio the super cute mini Dachshund. Sergio was appointed by Outnet.com to hunt out the best shoe designs of the week, he turned up at all of the top shows wearing the cutest little outfits and had a GoPro camera strapped to his back which recorded his every move. Check out this link to see some of Sergio's journeys and his favourite shoe finds! I think Sergio would look great in a pair of Pink Pantaloons, what do you think!?....

And We Are Off!

It's been a hectic few weeks, but things are really starting to take shape here at the mill. We've carried out a number of photo-shoots to showcase these beautifully designed and crafted pants and the results have exceeded our expectation. Not only do the pants look incredible, but they feel incredible (I can attest to that as I have been fortunate enough to wear them.... Frequently!). The shoots have been so much fun and it has been brilliant to work with both Paul and Helen who have produced incredible photos and the beautiful Zoe who was modelling the ladies range. Whilst we get these brilliant bespoke beauties ready for launch we thought we'd give you a little teaser from the most recent shoot. I'm sure you'll agree that the pants look brilliant! We are really excited about this product and will be keeping you up to date on everything that is going on here at the pink pantaloon company!
